Designed the hero section for Collectr, a trading card management app, balancing interactive design concepts with a clean, modern aesthetic to effectively showcase the app’s functionality.
Description
The objective of the project was to create a visually appealing and functional hero section that immediately communicates the app's key features and value.
Collectr is an innovative app designed to help trading card enthusiasts manage their collections with ease, offering features like AI-powered scanning, real-time market valuations, and tools for buying, selling, and trading.
In the initial design iteration, I proposed a parallax style for the hero section, with trading cards dynamically moving up and down the screen as users scroll, offering an interactive and engaging experience. However, after discussing options with the client, we opted for a cleaner design that better matched their vision for simplicity and ease of use.
The final design featured an app mockup at the centre, flanked by a card stack on one side and a digital card collection on the other. This approach allowed us to highlight the app’s core functionalities—scanning, cataloging, and tracking collections—while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic.
Scope of Work
Proposed an interactive parallax scrolling effect with cards moving up and down the screen to engage users and showcase the app’s unique offering.
